James Kirkland performs his one man show Lord of the Lies at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. It's a mind blower. 

Emily Bell's Bellhouse Productions just sold both award winning films (which she stars in & produced) Future Boyfriend & Deep Dish Apocolypse to Shorts TV. She and her producing partner have been interviewed by the channel for their  Filmmakers Spotlight. Here are links to  Deep Dish Apocalypse - Behind the Scenes  showing how they they recreated the LA subway in Deep Dish. Sam  Aberman continues her run in the Chicago production of HAMILTON. Congrats on 1000 performances!

Gonzalo Martin; 
June - just wrapped production on the full length feature "Back to Lyla" that he produced and starred in.  And stars as the lead character, Sean, in the video game Life is Strange 2. 

Peter Berube stars in the indie comedy We Are Gathered Here, which premieres in April 2019 at the Manhattan Film Festival. He is the voice of G.I.Joe, Leroy, and Mulder in the upcoming  animated series, Toy Stories which will be released on Epic Robot TV. Peter also voices multiple roles on the sci-fi audio-drama series, The Veil which is available on all platforms where you get your podcasts. He is the lead in the upcoming web series, The Bisby Brothers: A Series of Unhelpful Interventions which premieres in April. He will also be reprising his role of Jamie Lannister in the encore production of Game of Thrones: The Musical which opens May 13th at he the Whitefire Theater. Peter can be seen performing regularly with Mission Improvable at The Westside Comedy Theater and with Blockbuster Improv at The Improv Space.  

Meredith Shank won Best Actress award at the Hollywood Reel Film Festival for her performance as the title character in the short Maggie - a rom com about a psychic. Audience favorite in Full Dress which premiered at Dances With Films.

David J Uchansky in preproduction with the feature The House in the Middle of Nowhere as both producer and actor. 

Enzo Cilenti is the truly creepy serial killer in the latest season of Edris Alba's series Luther on BBC America. And stars as Rivette in the new Les Miserables mini-series that airs on PBS in March. 


2018
Enzo Cilenti stars and shines in the award winning short film  Anonymous . "The impact of commercial progress and gentrification in London is seen through the eyes of an aging drag queen who is falling to come to terms with the changing face of Soho". 

Sam Aberman continues her two year run in the Chicago cast of Hamilton. 

Bobby Soto will star with Shia LaBeouf in Tax Collector. David Ayer's is in preproduction on the gritty indie crime thriller that he wrote and will direct.

Nicky Endres has a recurring on the Netflix reboot "One Day at a Time"! as a member of a veteran's support group. I The role was written specifically for a Trans actor- to quote Nicky: "'it's awesome. Breathing and being present... best lessons I ever learned. WERQIN that shit" 

Molly Hawkey moving and hilarous podcast Spermcast  about her search for a donor- it's great. 
  

Chelsea Edmundson booked a recurring on Midnight Texas. This year, her film Thunder Road won the grand jury prize at SXSW tis year and it payed in the L'ACID program at Cannes. She co-starred on the last season os Casual on Hulu and booked a secret pilot (details when they emerge). Her horror film, 14 Cameras, is coming out on VOD and streams in the fall.   

Bobby King is the fight co-ordinator for the Shakespeare Center of LA's production of "Henry IV,"  which also stars Tom Hanks- it runs June 5 to July 1 at the Japanese garden on the Veterans Affairs' West Los Angeles campus.

Allison Hawkstone starred in "Don't Hug Me, We're Family" stage musical. Here's a blurb from the  broadwayworld.com review: In all honesty the one who stole the show was Allison Hawkstone whose timing and delivery of lines had e gasping for breath...She managed to hit every beat on the dot throughout the entire show." She did a comedy pilot "April and May" this spring and a dramatic shot "Sunrise".She'll be starring and casting the informercial for "Bug It" - a new bug catching product. 

David Uchansky is the co founder of the Kapow Interglactic Film Festival -now in it's 3rd year. It will be held  September 28 thru October 4, 2018 at the Laemmles' NoHo 7 Theaters in North Hollywood. He also stars in and serves as Associate Producer of the indie film Black Pumpkin (sequel to the cult favorite Bloody Bobby in which he also starred and produced). 

Jed Maheu booked the action comedy film Stuber. His character “neck beard” is a conspiracy theorist who rants in an Uber driven by Kamil Nanjiani. It also stars Dave Bartista and Betty Gilpin. And he recently signed with AKA for commercials.  You saw him featured in Volkswagen's national set at Woodstock festival - he helps push the mini bus out the mud and he is a hipster viking for a Youtube spot. He fronts and writes music for the Zig Zags - after touring Europe, they're now working on their next album . 

Susan Denaker is cast as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit at the North Coast Repertory Theater in Solana Beach, CA. Rep. Rehearsals start August 7th and plays thru September with possible extension thru first week in October. Ah..the fall in the south. 

Emily the short zombie rom-com, "Deep Dish Apocalypse" which she produced and starred in - is now in post. Also featuring Taylor Catlin in a bone chilling role.
"Wet Dreams" was a finalist for the "Fun is Good Bill Murray Comedic Shorts Award" at the Twin Cities Film Fest. It was also runner up for the Audience Choice Award at the "Salute Your Shorts" Film Fest.
The "Hill Yes" Webseries got distribution through the channel ENV and is streaming on Amazon Prime
"Future Boyfriend" has over 83k views on the YouTube Channel "DUST".  It was translated into Russian for the Russian YouTube channel DeeAFilm and where it has over 140k views. In addition to DUST and DeeAFilm, it's also streaming on platforms "Omeleto" and "TheCGBros"

Gonzolo stars in the psychological thriller When it Rings, a feature directed by Ty Hastings that also stars Sally Kellerman and Mel Novak. He has a strong supporting role in I'll Be Next Door for Christmas, a feature directed by David Willis. He is bringing back the 'Leggo my eggs' line in a national spot for Kellogg's Eggo. Last year his commercial work clients included  Apple Inc, DJI Drones & Metro PCS.  He was the lead in a Snapchat show for Buzzfeed called Murder Mysteries - 7 million views daily. He's shooting a Wells Fargo commercial in Barcelona for the World Cup.

Paola booked the AFI short film "Villanueva". She shot commercials for Ford Escape and Walmart as well as a big Invisalign photo campaign.

Emily Bell's short film, 
Future Boyfriend debut debuts on the internet on the new science fiction channel, DUST.
Link to "Future Boyfriend".She produced and co-stars with Ron Morehouse-  and features French Stewart. It premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and played at 13 other festivals and was featured as a selection on United Airlines. She
 
produced and acted in the mockumentary, "Wet Dreams: One Woman's Chance at Touching Gold", with costar Kassie Thornton, directed by Darren Coyle.
AND she produced and starred in the five episode web series, "Hill Yes", with co-star Ron Morehouse. 

2016

Shana Gregory Williams is Ms. Proctor in Stuck in The Middle on the Disney Channel produced by Linda VedetterFigueiredo & Erika Kaestle. She stars as Ray Ray in God Don't Like Ugly directed by John Lavin, Whitty Productions, which showed at the Austin Revolution Film Festival, the AFI film "Con/Vict", and the web series OverEasy by AK-47 Productions. 

Clive Ashborn vamps as Nigel the rock star in I Love Dick starring Kevin Bacon & Griffin Dunne for Amazon Studios, directed by Jill Soloway, and guests as Goran in B My Guest a Utube web series directed by Anka Malatynska

Meredith Shank stars in the web series XYXX directed by Morgan Dameron and co-stars in the indie feature Full-Dress starring Christopher Abbet and Robin Lord Taylor directed by Carlos Puga. 

Taylor Baker appeared twice  on "My Crazy Ex" on Lifetime, she co-created & stars in the web series Female Friendly - they have a distribution deal set & are working on completing the financing. She played Frenchy in Grease during the Buena Park summer outdoor arts program and "Tashtego" in  the LA premiere of "Moby Dick: The Musical"
She performs monthly with the musical performance group Cherry Poppins.

Taylor Catlin co-stars on Colony" on the USA Network and appears in the digital series "The Boonies" which will be premiering on Verizon's Go90.

Allison Hawkstone shines in Hawaii Airlines national spot and campaign- director Brett Wagner, DP Afshin Shahidi, Agency Anthropology Group

Chelsea Edmundson stars in the feature The Black String, director is Brian Hanson directing. Also starring Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle). 

David Uchansky & partners present the Kapow Film Festival running October 6-9 in Corona, CA:  "breaking the boundaries of cinematic greatness" - including films from Austin's Asylum own Emily Bell in " Wet Dreams". Taylor C. Baker in 'Female Friendly' and Dave himself in the world premiere of the feature  Bloody Bobby which he also produced.

Chelsea Edmundson year so far:
Awards:  Best Actress award at Comicpalooza for Daylight's End, best Supporting Actress at the Los Angeles International Film Festival Aw
She was flown to Tokyo to film an Ad for a Japanese company called Pocari Sweat, booked a national commercial for Buick,  2 national commercials for Michelob Ultra, one of which was directed by Antoine Fuqua and ran in the 2016 Super Bowl. 
Film include the the female lead in the feature Daylight's End  which will be released in late August for select theaters and Video on Demand. The cast also includes Lance Henriksen and Johnny Strong (Black Hawk Down, the Fast and the Furious.)
She played the lead female in the feature Howlers which also stars Chad Michael Collins (lead of the Sniper franchise for Sony) and Sean Patrick Flannery (The Boondock Saints.) 
Supporting role in the feature Alitiude, which stars Dolph Lindgren. Lead role in the AFI thesis film In Pursuit as well as the short In Pursuit and a supporting role the short film Solitary, directed by Daniel Ruczko.

Emily Bell's short film Future Boyfriend (which she both produced and stars in) premiered at TriBeCa Film Festival 2016 and is enjoying a strong festival run including Dances with Films, SCI-FI-London, Film Quest and  Comic Con . Her journey began with her performance in the one act of the same name during the first annual Science Fiction Play Festival in Los Angeles. Emily and her producing partner shepherded the project for a year and a half with the help of almost $13,000 in Kickstarter funds.The film also features French Stewart from Third Rock from the Sun.

Clive Ashborn plays a mad professor in the feature film, The The Love Witch, which has been selected to be shown at the Etheria Film Night, 
directed by Anna Biller. Theater: the performance piece, Moons of Kashar by Doraine Poretz, directed by Karen Criswell and a staged reading: Poe- A Blackwood Tale by Steven Wille. Commercials include
 Persil and Chase.

Shelby Graham has been singing her heart in short skirts all summer as the lead player in the original musical Psychosexual at the Met Theater in Hollywood.

 2015 

Adam recurs as Jenny Garth's husband on the ABC Family series "Mystery Girls" and the lead in the Hallmark TV movie Christmas in Fashion. 

Emily stars in one act in the Sci-Fi stage festival. 

Martin is the lead in the short film "Alaska is a Drag" - it's won many awards and just got the green light for a full length production to shoot in the fall. 

Bobby is on location in Ohio, acting and doing stunts In the film Criminal Activities with John Travolta and Jackie Earle Haley.

Eric just booked a pilot for Netflicks called The Hollywood Hills. Let's cross fingers for pick up.
His web series Felix Blythesdale (which he wrote, produced and starred in) is getting raves on the web.  Adam, Clive  and Meredith co- star. It's an adorable, inventive hoot. So like it on Facebook, please. 

Sasha's short film, 
Mr. Hopewell's Remedy (which she wrote, produced and starred in) is the little engine that could. It' won the Remi Award for best short at Worldfest Houston! Past Remi Award winners include the Coen Brothers, Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg AND the film has also garnered awards from the Myrtel Beach (Accolade Award of Excellence for a short film) and Rochester Film Festivals. Update: Hopewell will screen at Festroia International Film Festival in Portugal in Setubal, New Filmmakers Festival in NYC and  the Long Island International Film Expo in Bellmore, NY as well as the Frederick VA festival (her home town).
 
Jed shot a guitar center commercial. His band, the Zig Zags, was named the breakout band of the year by the LA Weekly and just made an appearance as themselves in a new cable show. They got to be squibbed and die a violent death on stage. 

Bobby is stunt co-ordinator and actor in Fear Clinic starring Robert Englund. Eric's playing the monster. 

Mike R, Mike P & James officially launched their production Normal.tv which has multifarious projects in the works including Mike R's feature She's Allergic to Cats which stars Mike P and Sonja (guest appearance by Brendan's cat). Check out their truly awesome website

Chad is the lead in "The Activist", well received at it's LA premiere and is nominated for Best Actor in the San Francisco American Indian Film Festival held in San Francisco.

Emily & Morgan have their own funny podcast (available on itunes) called Girls in the Hood. Many class 
alumnae will guest. So far: Eric, Virginia, Heather, 

Martin & Barret star in "Alaska Is A Drag" -officially selected for AFI FEST 2013 as well as feted at film festivals all over the country. 

Marie's one woman show "True Hustle" was voted Best of the Fringe Festival and continues to run at UCB. 

Bobby in three features acting and stunt co-ordinating back to back. Can't keep up with him. Next film "Artists Die Best in Black"

Adam nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Preacher's Daughter by St.Tropez film festival. It won best picture. Currently finishing up MOW "Cupid's B & B" . His Geico commercial is running like crazy.

Emily stars in the sketch comedy web series Girls on Top and a sci-fi feature called Adam 8 curently raising its completion money on Indie go go.

Mike and MIke filming feature She's Allergic to Cats. Mike R directs, Mike P stars with Sonja.

Jed's went to Sundance! He acted in and did the soundtrack for the indie feature "The Rambler" starring Dermot Mulroney  premiering there.

Sonja's feted at Slamdance! Getting raves (and headline in the Park City paper) for her performance as the female lead in "Diamond on Vinyl", an indie feature. Currently wrapping the feature, "Beautiful Now" She also just booked a jeans campaign. And guesting on the TNT pilot Bounty Hunter starring Geena Davis.

Virginia finished the trailer for her documentary about kids in the Mexican professional soccer world. It's pretty heartbreaking. She's down there raising finishing funds. 

Brendan was nominated for a Grammy for producing the single "Around my Way" on Lupe Fiasco's album "Food & Liquor 2"

James is producing/writing  his second season of Stevie Town on VH1 (he's also the creator).

Karen (teach) doing motion capture for a super secret video game. 

Meredith booked a print campaign for Kate Spade

Adam is the lead  made for TV movie "Matchmaker Santa", Hallmark productions. His Geico campaign is airing. He also stars in the TV movie "Preachers Daughter".
 
Jed on tour with his band in Feb & March. Also just finished starring in an indie, "Zone of Silence". 

Nick's character Hansel recurs on the TV show "Apartment 23". 

Emily is the lead in Cold Stone" , UCLA graduate thesis film and just did a short film called "Psychological Study" for "Crackhorse Presents," a web series and shorts site. It should post in Nov  http://crackhorsefilms.tumblr.com

Virgina is in Mexico raising money & shooting a trailer for her documentary.

Karen starred in the world premier of Beautified - rave reviews (LA Weekly Pick of the Week). Thanks to  class peeps who came. Written by Tony Abatemarco and directed by Jenny Sullivan. 

Pablo produces Tell It, a spoken word evening at the Lex Theatre. Next evening is this Oct 20th. Previous evenings have featured Pablo, Adam, Amanda, Blair & Richy -  big success. Pablo is taking story submissions on an ongoing basis.

Michelle is speaking the language like a native since moving to Denmark. Her news: "I've done voice overs for two different computer game trailers. I'm also working as the Post Production Coordinator on the new Susanne Bier film, SERENA, starring Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence due out next Oct. I got promoted to Guest Relations Manager at the hostel where I work. I basically get paid to talk to people, hang out and show they how cool Denmark is."

Sonja booked a guest role on the episodic show Longmire. 

  • Mike P, Mike R & James have formed their own production company Video Town which is already getting assignments. They are wrote, produced and starred in their pilot called Living On Video which is getting interest around town. Also in the cast: Adam, Andrea, Bobby, Chris & Dana.

    Jed booked the feature, Rambler, (playing a real scumbag) which shoots in New Mexico.

    Season 2 of Fresh Hell has started airing on Utube starring your teach (episode one) & Brent Spinner with really funny guest appearances by Heather (episode 2) & Emily and Pablo (episode 3). 

    Pablo & Andrea open April 12th in Anything He Wants at the NoHo Arts Theatre. 

    Steve B & Karen (teach) are in Whole Day Down, a web series about art and the apolcaypse. New season airs on Blip Tv. 

    Meredith signed with a commercial/print work agency. She completed three low budget feature films since she arrived in town last summer including The Deserted, directed by Michael Baltazar and just completed a modeling assignment that took her to Lake Tahoe and SF.

    Erik IS the Bastard in the Marin Shakespeare Company's summer production of King John. 

    Dana's one person improv show "Match Me" ran for several successful evenings at Improv Olympic. She 
  • signed with a new commercial agent and immediately 
  • booked a national for University of Phoenix.

  • Michelle is a member of the Murder Mystery Company. They perform all over California including LA. Upcoming- a move to Denmark!

  • Emily just signed with a commercial agents & was cast in Star Wars Sex , a USC grad project.

  • James's  series Stevie TV, (he's the creator/writer/producer) started airing on VHq on Sunday nights at 11PM!  He 
  • wrote & appeared with a florescent member on the MTV awards; h
  • is troupe USS Rock and Roll (LA's #1 Party Improv Show) performs every Weds night @ 9PM - 10 WEST Theatre. 10 West Hollywood Blvd. 1 block east of Cahuenga. www.ussrocknroll.com

  • Alex helped start a community theater in McAllen TX. We hate that she moved back to TX but she's found a way to generate creativity there! 
    • Nick booked a guest stint on a midseason replacement: Apartment 23 playing a gay hipster.

    • Richy plays assistant Coach Perry, a regular in the web series "Pic n Roll" airing on Utube. He plays Dr. Llyod on the feature "Figure" which shot last Feb.

    • Ashley 
    • booked The Middle and is standing in for Jan. Jones on Mad Men (as well as a part we can't reveal) & moved into a trailer on the beach in Malibu that she & her beau are re-fabbing.

    • Bobby & Adam played butch guys on the feature "Would You Rather?" directed by David Guy Levy.

    • Bobby & Michelle worked on the final episode of Operation Repo. Bobby worked both as an actor and stunt director. Michelle acted & was thrilled to get to fire a gun. 
      • Michael S. plays the 2nd lead in the feature "The Margarine Wars". His Mountain Dew & Netflicks are running like crazy. He was nominated for an Ovation award for co-producing "The Marvelous Wonderettes". 

        • Karen (your teach) past summer: a high end madam on The Closer, two small features The Wicked Within and Sweet Talk. She's in the movie and the trailer for Rum Diary starring Johnny Depp releasing Oct 28th. Currently filming more episodes of the  
        • Fresh Hell, web series starring Brent Spiner - playing a psychic peyote pushing talent manger; "Whole Day Down"web series is an official selections of the International Television Festival - she plays the art critic nemesis of Willie Garson & Patrick Breen. Guest on James pilot. 


        • Marie got raves in her starring and producing turn in the Brimmer Street production of Flower to Flower. She also produced Leiris/Picasso for them last summer.

        • Adam, Ashley, Nick, Michelle & Steve all worked on the same SAG voice over gig for Amazon.com 


        • Michelle signed with a new commercial agent & is working on a comic webisode called "Action Figures" playing an office worker. She got her SAG card on the Amazon job.


        • Nick booked a SAG short called "S the D".


        • Steve B got a great voice over agent and book an AFI short.

        • Richy is associate producing and acting in a short called Sober. He also acted and crewed in several episodes of the webseries "A Whole Day Down".

        • Kaleena is completing her first EP for The Audio Lab, producer Pete Mills. She's also in pre-production for the music video for her first single called "love Hard.

        • Alex is moving back to Texas. Stay in touch!

        • Chelsea got her SAG card, worked on the United States of Tara & did a turn in the Miss California Pageant.Marie produced Leiris/Picasso@ Brimmer Street Theatre.

        • Malin  filmed a part in the feature film The Wayshower: Lord of the Realms directed by Jsu Garcia.

        • Lindsey is doing voice over with Abrams and is killing them in standup around town and performs on weekends with The Striking Viking Story Pirates Theatre Troupe at the Geffen.

        • Adam filmed an indie in Texas and an episode of Friends With Benefits.

        • Robert's son Ronan is about 3 years old now- he's got a brother: Griffin, who's walking
